Brigham-Williams has personally developed and owns a variety of real estate. Past developments consist primarily of retail, office, commercial and residential related developments.

 

Brigham-Williams Commercial Properties, Inc. was formerly known as Brigham-Williams and Associates, Inc. Brigham-Williams and Associates, Inc. through various mergers became Realty South, the largest residential real estate company in Alabama and is now a subsidiary of Berkshire-Hathaway. The residential and commercial departments were split in 2001 and Brigham-Williams Commercial Properties, Inc. was formed.

A sample of our past developments includes:

  • Big Springs Village - Guntersville, Alabama. A 125,300 sf mall shopping center, with an out-lot capable of holding an additional 5000 sf. Big Springs Village is located next to a Super Wal-Mart. Anchored by Belk Department Store. The lease with Belk is a 20-year ground lease. Other major retailers include Dollar Tree, Shoe Department, Cato, Dollar General, and Claire’s. All tenant spaces were turned over on or before the scheduled turn-over dates.
  • Shops at Letson Farms - McAdory, Alabama. Over 100,000 square feet of retail anchored by Food World.
  • Dollar General - Developed more than 100 stores through out Texas, Michigan and Alabama. Each building is a standard free-standing prototype of approximately 9100 sf. Dollar General, Inc. is one of the fastest growing retailers in America, with more than half of their 7,600 stores opening in the last five years.
  • Shops at Pinson - Pinson, Alabama. A 6000 sf 2-tenant center. Tenants are Movie Gallery and Head Start.
  • Blockbuster/Realty South - Trussville, Alabama. An 8000 sf 2-tenant center.
  • Blockbuster/Realty South - Hwy. 280, Hoover, Alabama. An 8000 sf 2-tenant center.
  • Home Depot - Jasper, Alabama. A land development project of 25 acres, including 2 out-parcels totaling 2.5 acres. Out-parcels were owned free and clear by investors after large tract was sold to Home Depot. Development included rezoning from residential to commercial. Out-parcels were sold to Chik-Fil-A and Jim & Nick’s B-B-Q.
  • CVS - Vestavia, Alabama. A land development project of 7 acres purchased from Health South Corporation. Investors sold 2 acres to CVS. The remaining 5 acres was sold to Gold’s Gym.
  • Jones Valley Station Shopping Center - Huntsville, Alabama. A 14,000 sf shopping center. Major retailers include Movie Gallery, Alabama Outdoors, and various restaurants. This area has the highest per capita income in Northern Alabama.
  • South Shades Crest Station - Birmingham, Alabama. A 25,000 sf shopping center, anchored by My Gym (for children), Curves for Women, and Blockbuster. Includes various restaurants and other small shops.
  • Morgan Road Station - Bessemer, Alabama. A 65,000 sf shopping center. Major retailers include Blockbuster, Dollar General, Curves and Realty South. Included also was a build-to-suit for Arby’s.
  • Bazaar 280 - Highway 280, Birmingham, Alabama. A 30,100 sf shopping center in the heart of upscale
    Greystone area. Anchored by Greystone Jewelers and Movie Gallery, and includes various restaurants and small retail shops.
  • Cahaba Valley Station - Pelham, Alabama. A 12,600 sf shopping center. Major retailer is Woodcraft.
  • Leeds Station - Leeds, Alabama. A 19,600 sf shopping center. Major retailers include Dollar General,
    Curves, Papa John’s and Blockbuster.
  • Shops at Forestdale - Forestdale, Alabama. Small 6400 sf shopping center including Movie Gallery and
    Cash America.
  • Dolly Creek Station - Approximately 25,000 sf of retail with out parcel sales to McDonald’s, Texaco and Krystal.
  • Graypark - 12,000 sf office building for Blue Cross/Blue Shield and a medical user.
  • Shops at Bailey Cove (Jones Valley Phase II) - Huntsville, Alabama. Next to Jones Valley Shopping
    Center, a 14,000 sf shopping center. Major retailer is Brueggers Bakery and includes various restaurants
    and small retail shops.
  • Adamsville Towne Center - Adamsville, AL. A 26,000 sf Shopping Center, anchored by Dollar General.
    6,100 Major retailers will include Alabama Power, ALFA, Papa Johns and Advance America, as well as several restaurants.
  • The Shops at South Oates - Dothan, AL. 32,290 sf retail center anchored by Dollar Tree, Hibbett, Rue21 and Maurices.
  • Village Plaza – Orange Beach, AL A 12,000 sf retail shopping center
